Crushing Iron Ore – Roller Crusher for Hardrock Applications!

A few months ago, we reported on the first test use of our DRC Roller Crushers with magnetite iron ore. What began promisingly back then has now been deepened in a second test.

Iron ore with compressive strengths of up to 300MPa was to be crushed in two crushing stages from 0-300mm to a final grain size of 0-63/0-45mm. And the material was definitely tough.

Our CST 771 and CST 500 mobile plants, equipped with the DRC series toothed roller, were used. The DRC series has hydraulic gap adjustment and overload protection, making it perfectly equipped for such challenging applications.
In addition to the question of whether our roller crushers can process this material at all, the wear behavior was also intensively examined.

We didn’t want to withhold the impressions of the test from you.

A major advantage of roller crushing technology is the low machine weight and machine size at high throughput rates.
One example:
A DRC 900-20 roller crusher weighs only 70 tons and has a mouth opening of 2x2m. Throughputs of up to 2000t/h with edge lengths of up to 1.80m can be achieved.
A challenge to jaw crushers and gyratories!

True to our motto: Roller Crusher Technology New Defined, we develop and manufacture roll crushers for the toughest applications in order to make them available for an even wider range of applications.
