OUR HAMMER MILLS FOR DIVERSE APPLICATIONS
OPERATION
The feed material is entering the machine through the vertical fall into the impact circle of the rapidly rotating hammer heads. A high crushing performance is achieved by the first impact. In the next step, the pre-crushed granulate is thrown against the upper baffle plate where it is crushed once more. From here it goes back to the hammer heads and is being hit against the grinding bars in the third step. Due to the elevation and deepening on the tapered gap of the grinding wall, the grains are repeatedly brought into the impact circle of the rotor and crushed countless times until the grains leave the crushing chamber below the machine.
The desired grain size of the end product can be influenced by the peripheral speed of the rotor and the distance between the grinding walls and the hammer circle.
The direction of rotation of the rotor is reversible. This means that the hammer heads that are worn on one side can remain in operation. This extends the maintenance intervals and reduces downtimes due to maintenance work.
To reduce oversize grain, the grinding wall can be provided with grinding bars in the lower area. Additionally the machine can be equipped with an exchangeable grate at the outlet.
