Limestone -Two crushing stages combined in one machine
A double roll crusher opens up new possibilities in limestone crushing
Building a crusher for limestone primary crushing that combines the primary stage and secondary stage in one machine – this was the test that our mobile CST 771 plant had to face in a practical trial. Equipped with the DRC series toothed roller mill, limestone with a compressive strength of up to 100MPa was crushed. With the aim of producing a final grain size of 0-120mm with the lowest possible proportion of fines, everything that could pass through the bottleneck at the vibrating feeder was processed. The crushing tools were redesigned for the test, which significantly improved the feed in order to process larger stones and large edge lengths quickly.
The process data:
Material: limestone 100MPa
Throughput: 200-250 t/h
Feed grain size: 0-700mm
Final grain size: 0-120mm.
The result was impressive and also convinced our customer.
In future, the larger DRC 800-20 model will be used here, which will process the blasted material with an edge length of up to 1200mm to a size of 0-120mm with the lowest fines content at a throughput of up to 400t/h.
The DRC series is a double roller crusher with toothed roller mill, equipped with hydraulic gap adjustment and overload protection. The hydraulic gap adjustment allows the ideal roller gap to be set flexibly.
